History
In 2020, some residents within the Bethany/Claremont community had an interest in producing a live music event to encourage community spirit and cooperation. The following year, supported by the Claremont Civic Association and local businesses, they held what was called “A Back Porch Music Festival” charity event, drawing 500 attendees and raising $10,000 for charity. The charity music event clearly demonstrated the strength of how communities and local businesses getting together could create a greater good.
The Back Porch Music Festival led to the formation of the Niblick Music Series, a 501 (c)(3) Private Foundation, named after the cul-de-sac, where future events would be held. The Niblick Music Series (NMS) is now going into its 7th year, growing from a single live music event to as many as five per year.
We believe that neighborhoods and local businesses working together can be an important partnership in supporting a healthy and strong community.
